At Asha Academy, Patan, the spirit of learning and academic excellence was celebrated with great enthusiasm as the school marked Pi Day on March 14 along with honoring the remarkable achievements of students in the SOF International Olympiads 2025–26.
What is Pi Day?
Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi), observed on March 14 (3/14) because the digits of π begin with 3.14. The celebration was first founded in 1988 by physicist Larry Shaw at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. Since then, Pi Day has become a global event where schools and institutions celebrate mathematics through activities, puzzles, competitions, and creative learning.
The value of π (pi) represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter and is approximately 3.14159. This fascinating mathematical constant is widely used in geometry, engineering, physics, and many areas of science.
Honoring Academic Excellence
As part of the celebration, Asha Academy also recognized students who performed exceptionally well in the SOF International Olympiads. Their dedication, curiosity, and hard work have brought pride to the school community.
Students received medals and certificates for their outstanding achievements in subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, and General Knowledge. These Olympiads encourage students to think critically, apply concepts beyond textbooks, and develop strong analytical skills.
Teachers and academic mentors were also appreciated for their constant guidance and encouragement that helped students excel in these prestigious competitions.
A Moment of Pride for the School
The celebration highlighted the importance of mathematics and scientific thinking in everyday life. Events like Pi Day inspire students to explore the beauty of numbers, patterns, and logical reasoning.
The success of students in the Olympiads reflects the commitment of Asha Academy, Patan to nurturing curiosity, creativity, and academic excellence among young learners.
Inspiring Future Achievers
By celebrating Pi Day alongside the achievements of Olympiad winners, the school reinforced the message that mathematics is not only a subject but also a powerful tool that shapes innovation and discovery.

Asha Academy congratulates all the students for their remarkable achievements and encourages them to continue exploring the fascinating world of mathematics, science, and knowledge.
Their success truly embodies the school’s vision of “Igniting Hope, Creating Futures.”
